Detection of unauthorized entertainment items / programme. 5) Recovery of Entertainment Duty through Entertainment Duty Inspector & Assistant Entertainment Duty Officer 6)
Verification of service charges collected by the theatres and the
expenditure thereon 7)

The
procedure followed in decision making process including channels of
supervision and accountability |
On receipt of
application from the operators / organizers / owners of Entertainment
organizations enquiry is made through Entertainment
Duty Inspector & Assistant Entertainment Duty Officer and after making
scrutiny issue of permission or order imposing, penalty, Levy &
Recovery the Entertainment Duty is issued. Recovery
of Entertainment Duty is made through Entertainment Duty Inspector during
the recovery process. The
Entertainment Duty Inspector detected the unauthorized items if any &
report to Assistant Entertainment Duty Officer / Additional Collector.
Show cause notices under the provision of
Bombay Entertainment Duty Act 1923 are issued and after
giving hearing to the parties, the Additional Collector pass the
appropriate orders. |

recovery of Entertainment Duty is fixed by the Govt.
