भूमी अभिलेख
सर्वेक्षण शाखा ही जमाबंदी आयुक्त आणि संचालक भूमी अभिलेख (महाराष्ट्र राज्य) पुणे यांच्या कार्यालयातील एक महत्त्वाची शाखा आहे. ही शाखा राज्यात होणाऱ्या सर्वेक्षण कामाच्या प्रगतीवर नियमितपणे लक्ष ठेवते. सीमा निश्चिती, पोट हिस्सा, बिगरशेती, भूसंपादन, न्यायालयीन आयोग इत्यादी विविध प्रकारचे मोजमाप तालुका स्तरावर काम करणाऱ्या विभागाच्या कर्मचाऱ्यांकडून केले जातात. जिल्हा अधीक्षक भूमी अभिलेख आणि उपसंचालक भूमी अभिलेख अनुक्रमे त्यांच्या जिल्ह्यात आणि विभागात या कामाच्या प्रगतीवर लक्ष ठेवतात. विभागात सर्वेक्षण तंत्रांच्या आधुनिकीकरणासाठी विविध पावले उचलली जात आहेत. सर्वेक्षण शाखा सर्वेक्षण आणि संबंधित पैलूंमध्ये धोरणात्मक पातळीवरील बदलांवर देखील काम करते आणि सरकारला प्रस्तावित करते.

यात प्रामुख्याने मिळकतीची मोजणी ( सीमा निस्चती ,पोटहिस्सा ,बिनशेती , भूसंपादन ,रोड सेटबॅक,इ )विविध प्रकारचे मोजणी चे काम ,तसेच मिळकती चे फेरफार ( खरेदी ,बक्षिसपत्र, हक्कसोड ,वारस ,गहाणखत , इ .) द्वारे मिळकतीवर होणाऱ्या हस्तांतरणाची नोंद घेऊन अभिलेख अद्यावत ठेवण्याचे कामकाज केले जाते.
जिल्हा अधीक्षक भूमी अभिलेख ,मुंबई उपनगर जिल्हा यांचे अखत्यारीत १० नगर भूमापन कार्यालये व १ उपअधीक्षक भूमी अभिलेख कार्यालय येत असून त्यावर नियंत्रण अधिकारी म्हणून ते कामकाज करतात . तसेच जिल्हा अधीक्षक भूमी अभिलेख हे जिल्हाधिकारी यांचे तांत्रिक सल्लागार आणि नगर भूमापन अधिकारी यांचे अपिलीय अधिकारी म्हणून ते कामकाज पाहतात .
