About the Department

Survey branch is one of the important branches in the office of Settlement Commissioner and Director of Land Records (Maharashtra State) Pune . This branch regularly monitors, the progress of survey work being carried out in the State. Various types of measurements such as Boundary Confirmation, Sub Division, Non Agriculture, Land Acquisition, Court Commission etc. are carried out by the Department staff working at Taluka level. District Superintendent of Land Records and Deputy Director of Land Records monitor the progress of this work in their District and Division respectively. Various steps are being taken for the modernization of Survey techniques in the Department. Survey branch also works on policy level changes in Survey and related aspects and proposes to the Government.

The City Survey work in Mumbai Suburban District was carried out during the period 1963-1970. Mumbai Suburban District comprises a total of 86 villages and the City Survey records of all 86 villages are preserved and maintained through the Land Records Offices. For all the villages, separate property holder-wise property records and maps have been prepared in 1:500 scale.
This mainly involves various types of property/Land measurement (boundary demarcation, Sub-division, Non -Agriculture land, Land Acquisition, Road Setback, etc.), as well as recording and updating the records of property changes (purchase, gift deed, Transfer of title, Inheritance, mortgage, etc.).

The District Superintendent of Land Records, Mumbai Suburban District has 10 City Survey Offices and 1 Deputy Superintendent of Land Records Office under its Jurisdiction and works as the Controlling Officer over them. Also, the District Superintendent of Land Records is the technical advisor to the District Collector and the Appellate Officer of theCity Survey Officers.

Download facility for Digitally Signed Property Card

e-PCIS is a web-based service developed for computerization and digitization of property cards (Urban Rights Records) and can be updated through online modifications. Online property cards are available for the public on this website.

BhuNaksha– Digitized Maps of Property

In this system, the details of the title records are linked to the Village Sample Number 7/12, City Survey Number, Survey Number, Digitized Village Map Group Number / City Survey Number. So that the user will be able to check the area and the name of the occupant in the Land Registry ,Satbara record. On this website, the citizens can access their City Survey Number / Group Number Map of their property online.

e- Records
(Old Archived Records)

The e-Records project has scanned the old land survey records available in the Land Records Department. These include enquiry registers, land records, old property records, etc. The records are available online for the public through the e-Records website.

e-Hakk P.D.E.
(Apply for Online Mutation)

Applicants do not need to physically visit the office to make changes in the heir records. Citizens can file for mutation applications through the online system.

e-Mojni
(Land Meaurement Apllication)

The e-Mojni application has helped citizens to process their land measurement applications accurately. Citizens also get important information like land measurement date, measurement time, name of surveyor, measurement fee etc. as soon as they apply.

e-Quasi Judicial Courts
(Appeal cases)

The concerned parties file an appeal with the District Superintendent of Land Records, Mumbai Suburban District against the alteration records taken by the City Survey Officer, as well as other proceedings, seeking relief. The order passed in the said appeal case is uploaded on this website. The public can view uploaded order on this website. A certified copy of the said uploaded order can be obtained by applying to the respective offices.
